Finding a Fly Screen Installer in Abu Dhabi: What to Check
Anyone can sell you a screen. The difference between a screen that fits and a screen that rattles, gaps, or falls apart in two summers is the installer: how they measure, what they make, and whether they come back when something needs attention. This guide lists what to check before you book anyone in Abu Dhabi. We make fly screens in Abu Dhabi to order in our own Dubai workshop, and we hold ourselves to every point below.
Check 1: custom-made, not ready-made
The single biggest quality divide is whether the screens are made to your openings or pulled off a shelf. Ready-made screens come in standard sizes and get wedged, packed, or trimmed to fit. They gap at the edges, they rattle, and they look wrong. Custom-made screens are measured on site and built to the millimetre for your window profiles.
Ask directly: do you measure each opening and make the screens to order? If the answer is vague, or if they want to sell you standard sizes, keep looking. Every screen we fit is made to order after an on-site measure. There is no other way to get a proper fit across the different window profiles used in Abu Dhabi buildings.
Check 2: they measure on site
A proper installer measures in your home. They look at the window type, the profile, the track channels, the reveals, and anything unusual like burglar bars or shutters. They recommend a screen type per opening instead of selling one type for everything.
Be wary of anyone who quotes from photos alone or from floor plans. Photos do not show track channel depths, and plans do not show profiles. We measure on site, and the measurement visit is free. The quote is free at the measurement visit, given after we have seen the actual openings.
Check 3: they have a real workshop
Ask where the screens are made. An installer with their own workshop controls the quality: the frame profiles, the mesh, the corner keys, the rollers. An installer who outsources to whoever is cheapest that week cannot tell you what is in your screens.
Our screens are made in our Dubai workshop. We cut, mitre, mesh, and assemble every screen ourselves, which means we know exactly what goes into each one and we can match or repair anything we have made.
Check 4: fitting is included and done properly
Some sellers deliver screens and leave you to fit them. Fitting is part of the job. A proper fitter sets sliding panels square in the track, adjusts roller heights, checks brush strips along the full travel, and makes sure hinged screens close flat. They clean up and they test every screen with you before they leave.
Ask what happens if a screen does not fit on the day. The honest answer is that it gets taken back, remade, and refitted. With on-site measuring and workshop control, it rarely happens, but the policy should exist.
Check 5: they do repairs, not just new screens
An installer who only sells new screens has an incentive to tell you everything needs replacing. An installer with a repair service will tell you when re-meshing or new rollers are the sensible answer. That honesty is worth more than any discount.
We repair screens made by other companies: re-meshing, roller replacement, brush strips, straightening. When replacement genuinely is the better call, we say so and explain why.
Check 6: reachable and accountable
You should be able to reach them after the job. A phone number that gets answered, a WhatsApp that replies, and someone who comes back if a screen needs adjustment. Fly-by-night installers change numbers. Established ones do not need to.
We are reachable on +971 52 443 2655 and WhatsApp at https://wa.me/971524432655. If a screen we fitted needs attention, we come back.
Red flags
A few warning signs. Prices quoted without seeing the openings. Pressure to decide on the spot. No workshop address or nothing to say about where screens are made. Screens offered in one type only, whatever your windows. Cash only, no receipt. Any one of these is a reason to get a second quote.

FAQ
Should I get multiple quotes?
Yes, two or three. Compare what is actually being offered: custom-made or ready-made, which screen types, whether fitting is included, and whether they do repairs. The cheapest quote for a ready-made screen is not comparable to a custom-made one.
How do I know the screens will fit my windows?
They should be measured on site and made to order. Ask the installer to confirm this before you book. We measure every opening on the free visit.
What if I am renting?
Screens fit inside the flat and change nothing structural, so they are normally fine in rentals. Keep the receipt and check your tenancy contract if you want to be certain.
Do you travel to all of Abu Dhabi?
Yes. We travel from Dubai to anywhere in the emirate, including Khalifa City, Al Reef, Yas Island, Saadiyat, Reem Island, and the Corniche, for the free measurement visit.
What happens if a screen needs adjusting after fitting?
Call us on +971 52 443 2655 and we come back. Screens sometimes need a small adjustment after settling in, and that is part of the service.
