Most fly screen installers in Ajman will happily take your order. Fewer will measure properly, build to order, and still answer the phone when a roller fails two years later. The difference shows up in how the screens fit, how long they last, and how the job feels while it is happening.
These are the checks that separate the two. For our own service, see fly screens in Ajman.
Check 1: They Measure at Your Home
Accurate screens start with accurate measurements. An installer who measures at your home sees the frame profiles, the track channels, the out-of-square reveals, and the sand in the tracks. An installer who quotes from photos or room dimensions is guessing.
Ask whether the measurement visit is free. It should be. A company confident in its pricing does not need to charge for quoting. Our measurement visits to Ajman are free, and the quote is given on the spot with no obligation.
Check 2: Screens Made to Order
Ask whether the screens are made to your measurements or cut down from stock sizes. Made-to-measure screens fit the opening fully, seal properly, and look like part of the home. Adjusted stock screens leave gaps, and gaps let insects in.
Our screens are built to order in our Dubai workshop from the measurements taken at your home. One opening, one screen, no compromise sizes.
Check 3: The Quote Covers Everything
A proper quote lists the screens, the mesh type, the frame colour, the fixings, and the fitting, for the whole job. It should not grow on fitting day. Ask what is included before you agree, and get it in writing.
Watch for quotes that are vague about the mesh or the fixings. The phrase standard screen tells you nothing. You want to know the frame material, the mesh type, and what the screws and rollers are made of, especially on the Ajman coast.
Check 4: They Repair What They Fit
Screens need servicing. Rollers wear, mesh tears, brush strips flatten. An installer who also does repairs will still be useful in three years. An installer who only fits new screens will not.
Ask who to call when something goes wrong, and whether they repair screens from other makers too. A good installer also keeps your measurements on file, so ordering a replacement panel years later is a phone call rather than a new survey. We repair our own screens and anyone else’s, across Ajman and the other emirates we serve: Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and Ras Al Khaimah.
Questions to Ask on the Phone
Before booking, ask three questions. Do you measure at my home, and is the visit free. Are the screens made to my measurements. Do you repair screens after fitting, including other companies’ screens. The answers tell you most of what you need to know.
Also ask how the screens are made and where. A workshop that builds to order can handle unusual openings and match parts years later. A reseller cutting down stock sizes cannot. Our screens are made in our Dubai workshop, which is why we can repair and adapt them long after fitting.
Red Flags
No written quote. Pressure to decide on the spot. No business phone number, only a chat account that goes quiet after payment. Unwillingness to say what the frame and fixings are made of. No interest in a repair when you call back later. Any one of these is reason to keep looking.
