Fly Screens in Jumeirah

Jumeirah mixes beachfront villas with quiet inland streets, old character homes with new builds. The sea breeze is the area’s great pleasure and its great pest problem, carrying insects straight through open doors. We fit screens across Jumeirah 1, 2 and 3, matching the varied architecture, from traditional villas to modern rebuilds — a mix of old and new that keeps our workshop busy with varied work. Made to measure in our Dubai workshop and fitted by our own team, with free measurement across Dubai: +971 52 443 2655.

What we fit

Pleated fly screens for the wide sea-facing doors of beachfront villas.

Sliding screens for patio and garden doors in the inland villa streets.

Fixed window screens for bedrooms, where the night breeze brings mosquitoes with it.

Frame colour matching for Jumeirah’s mix of old and new joinery. We powder-coat to suit, not just to a standard chart.

Repair and re-meshing for the many older villas whose screens have seen better days.

Respectful fitting in established homes. We work tidily and protect existing finishes.

Beachfront & inland

Screens that suit both beachfront and inland Jumeirah villas.

A beachfront villa and an inland villa a few streets back live differently, and the screening should reflect that. Sea-facing homes tend to open their wide doors for long stretches, so pleated fly screens suit those broad sea-facing openings, covering the full width and folding away when the garden and terrace become one space. Inland, sliding screens for patio and garden doors handle the everyday in-and-out of family life, while fixed window screens let bedrooms take the night breeze without the mosquitoes it brings.

Rollup screens work well for windows used only in the cooler months, retracting out of sight for the rest of the year. Frame colour matters more in Jumeirah than in a new tower: with old and new joinery side by side, we powder-coat to suit the individual house rather than working to a standard chart, so a screen on a traditional villa does not look like an afterthought next to a screen on a modern rebuild.

Repairs & re-meshing

Repair and re-meshing for Jumeirah's older villas.

Many Jumeirah villas already have screens — they have simply outlived their mesh. Decades of sea air, sun and daily use leave panels torn, sagging or brittle, even where the original frames are still serviceable. For those homes, repair and re-meshing is often the right job rather than full replacement: we keep a sound frame, fit new mesh made to measure in our workshop, and service the tracks or hinges the screen depends on.

It is also the tidier option in established homes, where we work carefully and protect existing finishes rather than disturbing joinery that has been in place for years. Where a frame has corroded beyond sensible repair, or the original screen was never a proper fit for an unusual opening, we will measure and build a replacement and explain the difference honestly. Either way, the starting point is the same free measurement, with our own team advising on what the house actually needs.

FAQs

My villa is older with unusual window sizes. Can you help?

Yes. We measure everything on site and build in our workshop, so unusual sizes are normal work for us. Jumeirah’s older villas often have windows no catalogue would cover.

Can you match older frame colours?

We will get as close as powder-coating allows. Bring a photo or a sample and we will advise honestly on the match.

Do you cover all of Jumeirah?

Yes, Jumeirah 1, 2 and 3, including the beach road villas and the streets behind it.

Is it worth screening a villa I plan to renovate?

If the renovation includes new doors and windows, wait and screen those. If the renovation is a year or more away, screens now are worth it for the comfort in between.

More questions

Asked in Jumeirah.

Yes, and that is the usual pattern in Jumeirah villas. We measure every opening in the same visit — wide sea-facing doors, patio and garden doors, and bedroom windows — then recommend the right system for each, such as pleated for the widest doors and fixed screens for bedrooms, and make them all in our workshop.

A rollup screen usually suits that kind of window. It pulls down when you want air moving through and retracts into its housing when you do not, so it is not sitting in view all year. Fixed window screens are the alternative if the window stays open most nights in the cooler months.

Yes. Mosquito nets for doors are part of what we make and fit, alongside sliding, pleated, rollup and fixed screens. For a Jumeirah villa doorway that is opened constantly through the day, we will talk through whether a net, a pleated screen or a sliding screen will cope best with that traffic.

We fit screens across Jumeirah 1, 2 and 3, plus nearby Umm Suqeim and Al Wasl. Old villas, new builds, we measure them all. Contact us for a free quote and a measurement visit.
