Measurements for the many different tower designs around the marina. No two developments are quite the same.
For most Marina apartments the answer starts with the balcony door, because that single opening decides whether the living room can stay open in the evening. A sliding fly screen is the essential fit here: it runs in its own slim track alongside your door, so the balcony stays usable and the view stays clean. Fixed window screens cover the bedrooms, particularly on lower and mid floors near the water where mosquitoes are most persistent. In the marina's penthouses and duplexes, where terrace doors run wider, pleated screens cover the larger span in one run and fold away when the terrace is in full use.
Rollup screens are a neat option for a smaller window you only open occasionally, such as a kitchen or study window, retracting when not needed. Because no two developments around the marina are quite the same, we measure every opening individually rather than assuming a standard tower size.
Marina balcony screens earn their keep. Doors that open morning and evening, every day, wear mesh, rollers and tracks faster than screens in a villa that sits closed for weeks, which is why screen repair is such a common job for us in the towers. Typical problems are mesh torn by furniture being carried through, sliding panels that have started to drag or jump their track, and pleats that no longer stack evenly. In many cases the aluminium frame is still sound and the screen can be repaired or re-meshed rather than replaced, which keeps the job small and avoids disturbing the existing door.
Our own team carries out the repair using screens and parts made to measure in our Dubai workshop, so the repaired panel matches the opening exactly. If a screen has reached the point where replacement is better value, we will say so at the free measurement rather than repairing something that will fail again.
Higher floors get fewer insects, but dust and the occasional mosquito still find their way up. Most high-floor customers screen the bedrooms and leave it at that, which keeps the job small.
We have fitted screens across the marina’s residential towers and are used to each building’s access arrangements.
Our sliding screens sit in their own slim track alongside your door. From inside, you will hardly notice them.
A single balcony door is a normal job for us in the Marina. Many customers start with the living room balcony and add bedroom window screens later once they have lived with the first screen. There is no need to screen the whole apartment in one visit unless you want to.
A sliding screen runs in a track alongside your balcony door and is designed for an opening you walk through and use constantly. A rollup screen retracts into a cassette and suits a window you open for air rather than access. We will recommend one or the other at measurement based on how the opening is used, not on price.
Usually, yes. We measure the existing opening, check whether the frame can be kept, and repair or re-mesh where that is practical. If the original frame is damaged or was never made to measure, we may suggest a replacement screen made in our workshop, and we will explain why before you decide.
We screen apartments across Dubai Marina, along with nearby JBR, JLT and Barsha Heights. Tell us your tower and your balcony layout and we will recommend the right setup. Free quotes as standard.
